Dale D. Stewart, OD
is a licensed optometrist who specializes in contact lenses and low vision rehabilitation. He received his degree in optometry from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1978. Then, he completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the Illinois College of Optometry in Low Vision / Rehabilitation Optometry. Staying at the Illinois College of Optometry after his fellowship, he became the Director of the Low Vision Rehabilitation Service and consultant to the Illinois school for the blind, among other regional blind rehabilitation services in the state.
Dr. Stewart left teaching to join a private practice in Durham in 1989. He joined the Carolina Ophthalmology team in September of 2013 and works closely with both Dr. Bryan and Dr. Scroggs.
